By the end of the night tonight, President Donald Trump will conclude his 2020 campaign like he did in 2016 — by stopping in Michigan. The Trump campaign has made the battleground state a frequent destination in its effort to retain the White House.

On Sunday, Trump was in the Great Lakes State for a morning rally in Metro Detroit, and tonight, he’ll be back for rallies in Traverse City and Grand Rapids. With those visits, Trump will have campaigned in Michigan five different times in the past week.

Grand Rapids was Trump’s final stop of the 2016 election, too. In that election, he won all but 8 of Michigan’s 83 counties, beating Hillary Clinton by less than 11-thousand votes. It was the first time Michigan voted Republican in a presidential race since 1988.

Meanwhile, most polls show Trump trailing Democratic nominee Joe Biden in the Michigan. Biden will spend Monday campaigning in Pennsylvania.

According to Michigan’s Secretary of State, over 2.6 million Michigan voters have already cast absentee ballots.
