What's it like to road trip Michigan... in an EV?

It’s officially road trip season in Michigan. For most of us, that means filling up the trunk, topping off the gas tank and taking off. But things are a little more complicated if you’re driving an electric vehicle.

The state wants two million EVs on Michigan roads by 2030. But is the classic summer road trip along Lake Michigan's coastline compatible with a battery-powered car?

Our friends at Bridge Michigan wanted to find out. IPR’s Ellie Katz talked with Bridge environment reporter Kelly House, who’s on the road.
