Experience the music of a jazz legend and support local students as the Interlochen Arts Academy Jazz Combos perform a program of jazz standards by pianist, composer, and hard bop pioneer Horace Silver. All proceeds from the concert benefit the Annette Basler Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides college scholarships for graduating high school seniors from the Interlochen or Green Lake Township area.

About the Annette Basler Memorial Scholarship Fund:

Founded by the Interlochen Chamber of Commerce more than 30 years ago, the Annette Basler Memorial Scholarship Fund continues the legacy of Annette Basler, a Traverse City High School senior who passed away in 1990 due to a drunk driver. Each year, the scholarship fund awards two $1,000 college scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are permanent residents of the Interlochen or Green Lake Township area.
