Birding in Culture, Arts, and the Humanities - Mason County District Library

Mason County District Library has hosted a successful event series about Birding in northern Michigan this summer, which will culminate in a presentation from MSU professor, Garth Sabo at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 19 at the Ludington branch, 217 E Ludington Ave.

Sabo is a professor and Director of the Center for Integrative Studies in the Arts and Humanities at Michigan State University. He teaches multiple courses considering birds and birding in the context of culture, history, art, and human values. Themes from these courses will be discussed in relation to the diverse winged creatures around us.
