Join the Benzie Area Historical Society for their upcoming Benzonia Academy Lecture on Thursday, September 11th, at 7 pm at the Mills Community House. Billy Rosa will discuss and share photos about the topic of his and his wife’s latest book, Remembering Crescent: Logging & Life on North Manitou Island.
Presenter: Billy H. Rosa
Billy H. Rosa was born on the family farm in Almira Twp. Grew up in the Village of Lake Ann. Went to Honor High School and graduated in 1962. That was the last graduating class from Honor High School. Resides at Long Lake, Grand Traverse County. His interest has always been in history, especially with early family settlers in Benzie, Leelanau, and Grand Traverse Counties.
This presentation is part of the Benzie Area Historical Society’s Benzonia Academy Lecture Series, held on the second Thursday of each month. Admission is by donation, with a recommended donation of $5.
