Russian Renaissance is a Russian chamber ensemble working to redefine the possibilities of their traditional Russian folk instruments. Russian Renaissance is here on a tour as an internationally acclaimed chamber music group.
Russian Renaissance visited IPR’s Studio A to perform two pieces and talk about expanding the range of traditional instruments into new avenues. We'll hear "Tango pour Claude" by Richard Galliano, followed by a blend of the traditional Russian folk tune "Sitting on the Rock" with"Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" by Bill Withers!
