Mezzo-soprano Jessica Kodsi is from Tennessee, but she has been a student at Interlochen Arts Academy for all of her high school years.
She says coming to Interlochen as a freshman was a sudden change for her, but she's glad she made the decision to attend.
When Jessica Kodsi isn't singing, she enjoys spending time with her friends. She's a big reader and a fan of movies.
"One genre I like in particular is horror," she said. "I'd have to say, even though I love horror movies a lot, my favorite movie is Moulin Rouge with Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman." Jessica admitted that she always sings along with that film.
Jessica Kodsi sang with pianist, Ya-Ju Chuang Noël des enfants qui n'ont plus de maison by Claude Debussy. Click above the top photograph to hear the performance and conversation.
