Band camp is in full swing for adults who take time out of their summer to brush up their musical skills.
Each summer, Interlochen hosts a week-long band camp for adults. In addition to working on concert band music, many participate in small ensembles and take private lessons.
Classical IPR's Tyler Castellanos spoke with conductor Tom Riccobono about rehearsals, chamber music, and the kinds of people that this week of music-making attracts.
The Symphonic Band Camp's chamber music performance is August 15th at 7:30 pm in the Dendrinos Chapel, and their final performance is August 16th at 3 pm in Corson Auditorium.
