Former Classical IPR producer Emily Duncan Wilson has returned to Interlochen as the sound designer for the Interlochen Shakespeare Festival's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The production is directed by William Church.
For this production, Wilson uses music to connote the whimsical mood of the play and invite the audience into the magical world of the forest.
Her design focuses on creating soundscapes, where she layers many sound effects and music to start or conclude scenes.
Throughout the show, she utilizes music from Felix Mendelssohn and Andrew Bird as well as her own original ukulele compositions.
Tickets are available for "A Midsummer Night's Dream" on Interlochen's Concerts and Events page.
There will be four shows over the next two weeks.
