Conductor Delyana Lazarova leads the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Weber's Overture to "Oberon," Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with soloist Jonathan Biss and Mendelssohn's Symphony no. 4, "Italian."
From the DSO: "Jonathan Biss['s] clarity and expressive nuance bring warmth and wit to one of Beethoven’s most joyful works. Mendelssohn’s 'Italian' Symphony bursts with sunlit color and infectious energy, inspired by the landscapes, grand architecture, and lively dances he encountered during his travels in Italy."
Classical IPR will broadcast the concert live on Friday, January 16, starting at 10:40 a.m. Listen on air, through the IPR mobile app, or on your smart speaker or smart TV.
