Northern Michigan had a special visitor recently.
Santa Claus himself traveled down from the North Pole to make an appearance at Black Star Farms this holiday season. Leslie Hamp, from IPR's Red Pine Radio workshop, brought us an audio postcard you can hear through the player at the top of this post.
Santa had questions for lots of assembled kids. And it turns out they had some questions for him, too.

Where's your sleigh and where are your elves?
My elves are at the North Pole. Very busy making toys. The reindeer are at the North Pole practicing their takeoffs and their landings.
How did you become Santa?
I don't know. It happened so long ago. I woke up one day, and here I am!
How fast do you deliver all the presents in one night?
Well, I don't have a speedometer on the sleigh, so I don't really know how fast I'm going. But I'm going pretty darn fast. That was a very good question.
