The Patterson Piano Duo joined Classical IPR ahead of their upcoming performance with the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra.

Casey Robards and Anthony Patterson (duet partners and husband and wife) have been making music together since meeting at the Bay View Music Festival in Michigan in 1993.

As the Patterson Piano Duo, they have performed with orchestras, jazz ensembles and gospel choirs.

One of their recent projects is a 2024 album of art songs featuring baritone Kenneth Overton. Robards accompanies Overton in "Lyrics of Love and Laughter," a set of songs composed by Patterson himself. "The whole project was labor of love," says Robards.

This weekend, the Patterson Piano Duo takes the stage with the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra for a performance of Mozart's Piano Concerto for Two Pianos.

Conductor Libor Ondras leads a program that also includes the world premiere of Patterson’s newest work, "The Match" and Beethoven's Symphony no. 3, "Eroica."
