Downtown Traverse City is getting a comedy club and losing a hobby shop

The Ticker routinely rounds up restaurant and retail news.

  • "Voyageurs" comedy club will occupy the lower level of the building at the corner of Front and Cass in downtown Traverse City. The building used to be home to the Mackinaw Brewing Co.
  • Trains & Things Hobbies is closing after 43 years. The store is an institution in downtown Traverse City, and a real wonder to peruse.
  • The Old Mission Grill is reopening under the ownership of Stephanie Krupka and Brian Daley. They're hoping to open in November.
