Join the Northern Michigan Chorale for "Musical Mosaic" led by new Music Director Hannah Hoffman, May 3 & 4 in Bay Harbor.

Classical IPR recently spoke with Hannah Hoffman, the new director of the Northern Michigan Chorale.

Hannah first sang with the Chorale in the fall of 2023, and this is her first concert as Music Director.

"I first joined as a participant, then as a board member, then as Music Director," said Hoffman. "Everybody in this group is incredibly passionate."

Hoffman, a native of Petoskey, recently returned to the area after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy from the University of Kansas. She now runs her own private practice, Remedies in Rhythm, providing music therapy services and adaptive music lessons to the community.

Her background includes graduating from Interlochen Arts Academy in bassoon performance and participating in vocal and instrumental ensembles in Michigan and Kansas.

Don’t miss the Northern Michigan Chorale’s "Musical Mosaic" — their 43rd season spring concert at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts in Bay Harbor. Catch performances on Saturday, May 3 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 4 at 3 p.m.
