Classical IPR spoke with André Strydom about their upcoming performance of "Lux Aeterna" and the inspiration behind the music.

Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra (GLCO) will perform a free concert in Petoskey on Friday, April 25.

The program is co-directed by GLCO's Chorus Master André Strydom and features "Lux Aeterna" by Morten Lauridsen, a choral work about "hope, peace and transcendence."

Strydom spoke with Interlochen Public Radio about what it means to present a concert during a time of recovery and reflection for northern Michigan.

In light of the recent ice storm that impacted communities across northern Michigan, the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra is offering this concert free of charge. No tickets are required and all are welcome.
