When Monty Navarro learns he's ninth in line to inherit the earldom of Highhurst, he decides to take matters into his own hands to take his rightful place in the family.

That's the plot of the musical "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder," which opens this weekend at Old Town Playhouse in Traverse City.

We spoke with Ed Ronco about the production - yes, the same Ed Ronco who is IPR's news director but is also a regular on the OTP stage.

He's billed in the program as "The D'Ysquith Family" because he plays all eight of the heirs who stand between Monty and the earldom of Highhurst.

(Spoiler alert: Ed can play so many different characters because none of them last very long before Monty dispatches them.)
