Easter eggs come in all shapes, styles and purposes - and this weekend, thousands and thousands of them will be found hidden among trees and bushes, or rolling down hills and being chased by children. In many ways, the games today resemble those of the past.

Dan Wanschura and IPR Arts Contributor Joe Beyer talked about the history of Easter Egg celebrations in America and connected with two locals in charge of upcoming eggstravaganzas.

Brenna Nugent from the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce is overseeing an Egg Hunt with over 3,000 eggs for the first time. The group spends weeks stuffing goodies into the plastic eggs and planning the logistics.

Both say all that hard work is over within minutes, as soon as the hunt is on. Here are just a few details on those events and more Easter experiences coming up around the region.
