Update 8/9/22 11:49 a.m.: WIAA 88.7 FM off the air
Beginning Tuesday, August 9, a tower crew will begin repairs on the 88.7 FM tower in Harrietta.
Classical IPR listeners on the 88.7 FM frequency may experience a weaker signal or interference with the FM signal during this period.
For the safety of the tower crew, 88.7 FM will need to be powered off completely at times.
Those in the Traverse City area can try listening to 94.7 FM. Classical IPR is also available to stream on our website and through the IPR mobile app.
Barring unforeseen circumstances, all repairs are scheduled to be completed by Friday, August 12. That means 88.7 FM will return to full power.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate listeners' patience this summer as the crews diagnosed issues and then worked to repair them.
