Munson Healthcare CEO Resigns

<p><em><a href="mailto:stephanlj@interlochen.org">By Linda Stephan</a></em></p> <p>The CEO of the Munson Healthcare system has stepped down. Doug Deck's resignation is immediately effective, according to a hospital press release, and staff at Munson say he's not available for interviews. The reason for his sudden departure is not immediately clear.</p> <p>Deck was in the middle of negotiations over a possible merger between Munson Healthcare and the Grand Rapids-based Spectrum Health system.</p> <p>He has already been replaced by the CEO of Munson Medical Center, Ed Ness.</p>
