In September of 2023, two Interlochen faculty pianists presented a recital together.
Hyemin Kim was beginning her second year as a collaborative piano faculty member at Interlochen, and Michael Coonrod had retired in 2022 after a distinguished career on Interlochen’s faculty.
Together the two perform as the Kim & Coonrod Duo, and this was one of their first collaborations.
Their recital included music for one piano four hands and two pianos by Leonard Bernstein, Franz Schubert and Johannes Brahms.
