This year the world celebrates the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven 250 years ago.

Violinist Ara Sarkissian and pianist Ya-Ju Chuang will give an all-Beethoven faculty recital in the Dendrinos Chapel Recital Hall at Interlochen Center for the Arts this Tuesday evening at 8:30. There is no cost to attend.

They visited IPR's Studio A to perform some of the repertoire from their upcoming concert. The musicians also discussed Beethoven and talked about working together.

Guitar virtuoso Mak Grgic and world-renowned violinist Martin Chalifour recently came to Interlochen. Their performance in the Dendrinos Chapel Recital Hall featured works by Vivaldi, Falla, Paganini, Piazzola and more.

Classical IPR in Concert: IAA Faculty Chamber Music

This week, Classical IPR in Concert features members of the faculty of Interlochen Arts Academy.

Pianist Ya-Ju Chuang, violinist Ara Sarkissian, violist Renee Skerik and flutist Nancy Stagnitta perform a concert of works by Valerie Coleman and Bohuslav Martinů, along with pieces by Beethoven and Mozart.

This week Classical IPR in Concert features pianist Jonathan Biss and tenor Mark Padmore performing late works of Franz Schubert. The concert took place in the Dendrinos Chapel and Recital Hall at Interlochen Center for the Arts.
