Violinist Tina Chang Qu, cellist Patrick Owen and pianist TJ Lymenstull take the stage of the Alluvion in Traverse City Friday night.

Interlochen faculty musicians Tina Qu, Patrick Owen and TJ Lymenstull have been performing together in various combinations for years.

Although pianist TJ Lymenstull is retiring from Interlochen Arts Academy at the end of this month, the trio plans to keep playing together.

In fact, Lymenstull told IPR, he's looking forward to having even more time to practice once he retires.

They gave IPR a preview, performing the second movement of Café Music.

Note: shortly after this session was recorded, we learned that composer Paul Schoenfeld died in Israel. He was 77 years old.
