In July 2022, the nearly 100 young musicians from the World Youth Symphony Orchestra had a very special opportunity.
They were joined on the stage of Kresge Auditorium by 29 members of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
The DSO had performed at Interlochen earlier that weekend during their summer residency.
Many members of the orchestra taught master classes for Interlochen Arts Camp students and played alongside WYSO musicians.
This episode features that side-by-side performance of the Symphony no. 2 by Sergei Rachmaninoff, conducted by Tito Muñoz.
