National Writers Series: Joe Hill

Shawn K Roach

Author Joe Hill isn’t as well-known as his famous father, Stephen King. Not yet, anyway. But he’s earned quite a following for his work in the horror and dark fantasy genres. Joe is a prolific writer of short stories, comics, and five novels. The latest of those is called “King Sorrow.” Joe is also the 300th author to be interviewed as part of the National Writers Series. He spoke with Doug Stanton at the City Opera House in Traverse City in November of 2025.

Linnaea Melcarek is an independent producer for Interlochen Public Radio.
