Leif Enger was a reporter at Minnesota Public Radio before he published his first bestselling novel, “Peace Like a River,” in 2001. Since then, he’s written several other books, including “Virgil Wander,” and his latest, “I Cheerfully Refuse.” Leif spoke with Doug Stanton at the City Opera House in Traverse City in April of 2025.
