National Writers Series: Fredrik Backman

Fredrik Backman is a Swedish author best known in the U.S. for his novel “A Man Called Ove,” which was made into a movie of the same name. It’s also currently being made into an English-language film starring Tom Hanks, named “A Man Called Otto.” Fredrik has written a number of other novels, including “Beartown,” “Britt-Marie Was Here,” and “Anxious People.” His latest book is called “The Winners.” Fredrik spoke with Doug Stanton at a National Writers Series event that took place at Lars Hockstad Auditorium in Traverse City.
