If you think of an American composer, Aaron Copland's name is probably one that comes up.
This week and next, we're exploring Copland's two sets of Old American Songs.
These are different American folk songs and hymns that Copland arranged for voice and piano.
We also get to hear Copland performing this week - he's the pianist in all of the recordings on this week's show, along with baritone William Warfield!
We'll have a new quizlet about something old and American too!
Listen weekdays at 7:40 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. or any time on demand.
