Recent Interlochen Arts Academy graduate Solomon Sigmon featured on From the Top

Solomon Sigmon

Solomon Sigmon recently graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy, and he'll be featured on this week's episode of From the Top.

Sigmon will perform "Homage a Manuel de Falla" by Béla Kovács, which was recorded in IPR's Studio A.

He is also a recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award.

Solomon Sigmon

Solomon Sigmon (clarinet), 17, recently graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy. Born in Houston, Texas but now living in the Huntsville, Alabama-area, Solomon began studying the clarinet in the sixth grade. Some of his high achievements include, performing at Carnegie Hall as part of the Middle School Honors Performance Series, winning second place in the 2019 Alabama Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, being selected for the 2019 All National Symphony Orchestra, and being selected for the 2020 Tanglewood Young Artist Orchestra. Recently, Solomon participated in the 2021 National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA). Aside from playing clarinet, Solomon enjoys songwriting, playing video games, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. In the future, he would like to attend a prestigious music college where he can continue his clarinet studies, and also be a singer-songwriter.
