The American String Quartet recently visited northern Michigan to present a recital for Chamberfest Cheboygan.
Founded in the 1970s, the current quartet members are Peter Winograd (violin), Laurie Carney (violin), Daniel Avshalomov (viola) and Wolfram Koessel (cello).
They gave a recital at the Cheboygan Opera House featuring music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Vivian Fung, Caroline Shaw and Maurice Ravel.
