The Traverse Symphony Orchestra recently presented a concert under the baton of guest conductor and composer Jim Stephenson.

Hear excerpts from the concert on demand below.

The program featured several pieces composed by Stephenson, including "Martha Uncaged," a trumpet concerto that can also be danced as a ballet.

The piece is a musical portrait of dancer and choreographer Martha Graham.

The TSO's performance of "Martha Uncaged" featured principal trumpet Ken Larson as the soloist.

Another Stephenson piece on the program was the ballet "Wooden Dimes."

Capping things off was a performance of Aaron Copland's masterpiece "Appalachian Spring," a ballet he composed in collaboration with Martha Graham.
