Kids Commute - Jeux d'Enfants Week!

We’re going to have some musical fun this week on Kids Commute from Interlochen Public Radio. It’s Jeux d’Enfants Week! “Jeux d’Enfants”, French for “Child Games,” is a suite of music by French composer, Georges Bizet. Bizet wrote a total of twelve short pieces with a child’s toy as the subject. Bizet uses imaginative musical ideas to create the image of each toy within our minds. Another cool fact about this suite of music, is that he wrote it as a four-hand piano piece, meaning two people are playing the piano at the same time, so the performers have to share the instrument, like people share their toys. Don’t forget to listen for the clue to the Kids Commute Quizlet. If you send us the correct answer, we’ll send you a Kids Commute Prize Pack. Thanks for being loyal listeners of Kids Commute from Interlochen Public Radio!
