Recipes featured in the program:

  • 1/3 sweet Vermouth
  • 1/3 dry Vermouth
  • 1/3 whiskey (rye or bourbon)
  • Garnish with one Maraschino cherry (but only one!)

  • Pour gin into shaker of ice, shake, pour into glass
  • Hold bottle of dry Vermouth over glass, wave over top.
  • Do NOT open bottle.
  • [Optional] Lean over glass and whisper the word "Vermouth."

If you must, garnish with one olive (but only one!)

  • One package (brick) of cream cheese, softened (Do NOT substitute with pre-softened. Sorry - it's  just not the same.)
  • 1-2 tablespoons onion, grated to smithereens (1/4 - 1/2 a small onion) - to taste
  • 3-4 shots Worcestershire sauce - to taste
  • 1/2 - 1 Cup Ketchup - to taste

Place cream cheese in a bowl deep enough to blend with hand mixer without spraying dip all over the kitchen. Grate onion on top of cream cheese, add Worcestershire sauce. Mix well with hand mixer. Add ketchup a little at a time and blend until it's pink and zesty. If it's red - too much ketchup! Keep some extra cream cheese handy! Serve with sturdy, ridged potato chips (a must - weaker chips won't stand up to all that cream cheese).
