Last night, Traverse City Commissioners approved a controversial prowling and park trespass ordinance – on a 4 to 3 vote.

The new measure comes after increased safety concerns at Hull Park and much public comment, often heated.

The ACLU and others have said the ordinance is unlawful. Others say compassion and safety is not an either/or game.
