A petition to recall Antrim County Clerk Victoria Bishop was struck down by the Michigan Board of State Canvassers.

The Bishops' lawyer Kevin Kijewski successfully argued that the petition's language was insufficient to warrant a recall election.

Ashley Areeda, the Antrim County resident who filed the petition, says her effort is grassroots and vows to resubmit the petition with revised language today.

IPR's Austin Rowlader brings us up to speed on both sides.
