Listen to 911 calls from North Lake detention center

Our colleagues at Michigan Public, Lindsey Smith and Adam Yahya Rayes got a hold of emergency calls coming out of the North Lake Processing Center in Baldwin.

56-year old Nenko Gantchev died in the facility in December. His autopsy has not been released, but Michigan Public shares some of the 911 calls from the detention center to emergency dispatchers.

Also, IPR's Claire Keenan-Kurgan fills us in on a legislative holdup that could leave local doctors without a medical license. An eleventh-hour deal might avert that, but it still caused a lot of stress in northern Michigan in particular.
