Artists are people, too

In this episode, two stories about art.

First, we meet Elsa Carter, a high school junior in Benzie County who won a national competition allowing her to spend some time at Isle Royale National Park doing plein air painting.

Then, we travel to the Alluvion in Traverse City and check out the traveling gallery of the Intercontinental Biennial of the Native American, Indigenous or Millenarian Art and Culture."

It's a long name, but hey, it's also a large exhibition, showcasing Indigenous artists from around the world and from right here in northern Michigan. It's up through Aug. 31.
