Michigan Dreaming is a series by Bridge Michigan. We're proud to present it in special episodes of the Up North Lowdown.

What’s on your summer bucket list? The nonprofit news organization Bridge Michigan asked readers that question this spring. The result is a list of ten under-the-radar adventures that can be completed in our state during the summer.

One of the items on that list is to climb Mount Arvon, the state’s tallest natural point. Bridge Michigan’s Laura Herberg is checking off items on the list this summer and brings us this story about what she found atop the peak.

Interlochen Public Radio is proud to bring you episodes of Michigan Dreaming, a podcast series from Bridge Michigan.

The episode was produced by Bridge Michigan and contains music by Joystock, https://www.joystock.org.

Laura Herberg comes to Bridge from Outlier Media, where she worked as a Civic Life Reporter. Her journalism career took off at WDET, where she produced daily talk shows, created audio vignettes for galleries, anchored the news and hosted podcasts. Known for her sound-rich feature stories, Laura has won several awards and was named the Michigan Associated Press Best Reporter for Radio Broadcasting four times.
