This week: Some stats about northern Michigan's housing crisis, and possible solutions. Plus, curling!

Northern Michigan's housing crisis is no secret — it's been going on for years.

Advocates and elected officials gathered this week in Traverse City for a summit on the issue. This week on the pod, IPR's Michael Livingston breaks down what we know, and what people are trying to do about it.

We'll get the latest from Lansing and other headlines.

And we're going to listen back to our visit to the Traverse City Curling Club. We went in January 2023, right as it was about to open.

Thanks for listening.

And thanks for supporting IPR. Our fall drive just wrapped up and so many folks stepped forward to support the station over the last week-and-change.

"Aw, rats!" you're thinking. "I forgot to donate!" Well, you're in luck:

Ed Ronco is IPR's news director.
Max Copeland is the local weekday host of All Things Considered on Interlochen Public Radio and the producer of The Up North Lowdown, IPR’s weekly news podcast.
