A high-profile trial in Antrim County ends in acquittals for three men, Cheboygan cleans up from a massive fire, and we spend a little time with the jellies.

For weeks, jurors have been hearing testimony, evidence and arguments in an Antrim County courtroom.

This week, that jury acquitted three men of charges related to the failed 2020 plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. This week on the Up North Lowdown, we walk through the verdicts with reporter Michael Livingston.

We'll also recap a dramatic scene in Cheboygan, where an enormous fire disrupted life in the city for two days. Part of the Tissue Depot, housed inside the city's old paper mill, burned on Wednesday — along with a lot of plastic inside the building.

Officials urged people to stay indoors with the windows closed, and school was canceled on Thursday out of an abundance of caution.

We'll round up some of the week's other Michigan headlines and, as always, you'll want to stay to the end for our sonic sendoff. This week we're looking for jellyfish.

In Michigan. Yeah, we know!

Thanks for listening.
