The Detroit Opera Resident Artists have made their annual journey north for a residency at Interlochen Center for the Arts, where they're working with Interlochen Arts Academy students and giving a public recital.
The Resident Artists spend September through May in Detroit, working closely with Detroit Opera’s Head of Music Nathalie Doucet and other Detroit Opera artists and collaborators.
They perform not only in Detroit Opera stage productions but also in recitals and community programs in the greater Detroit region. Season highlights include shows at Henry Ford Hospital and this annual residency at Interlochen.
Current Detroit Opera Resident Artists Brianna J. Robinson, Kendra Faith Beasley, Cole Bellamy and Cameron J. Rolling visited IPR's Studio A during their time in northern Michigan. Resident Artist River Guard was ill and unable to attend.
They were joined by pianist and Detroit Opera Head of Music and Resident Artist Program Director Nathalie Doucet.
The Detroit Opera Resident Artists are presenting a recital Thursday, January 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Interlochen's Dendrinos Chapel and Recital Hall. Details are here - no tickets are required for this free event.
