If you ask Diana Priest what her life is like — what it's defined by — she’ll give you a blunt and simple answer.
Loss.
In 2020, she went to sleep one night and woke up more than a week later to a very different life.
She was missing one of her legs.
In a "Stories that Heal" workshop, Diana was paired up with Tobi Lacroix and Addison Paige, songwriters from Interlochen Arts Academy. Together, they wrote a song called "Phantom Pain" which the students performed at the Garden Theater in Frankfort on May 15.
"Stories That Heal" is a Community Partnership project by the Northwest Michigan Arts & Culture Network with funding from Arts Midwest, Michigan Arts & Culture Council & National Endowment for the Arts.
