Hear today's full episode by clicking "Listen" above or find "Intermezzo" from your favorite podcast app.

Swiss composer Jean Daetwyler wrote many alphorn pieces starting in 1970. His works are nearly forgotten, but maybe with the growing popularity of the alphorn, pieces like "Shepherd's Dance" from his Alphorn Concerto.

Thanks to this week's co-hosts, Barb and Scott Myckowiak and their friend, the talented alphornist Bill Rose, who all shared their time and expertise with us this week. Additional production help comes from Amanda Sewell and Isabel Li, and Scott Clemens is our digital content producer. Jack Conners was our outdoor alphorn recording engineer,

Thanks also to Sophia, Noah, Maddie, Hazel, and Theo for lending their voices this week.

Intermezzo will be back on Monday, October 20th with a week exploring Latin Ballroom Dance with 14 year-old junior competitive dancer, Peter Parra, and the music that goes along with it.
