Kathleen Kasdorf

Director of Planned Giving

Kathleen Kasdorf works with current and prospective donors along with their financial and legal advisors to help donors meet their philanthropic goals through planned and structured gifts. These gifts include bequests made through wills and trusts, charitable remainder trusts, charitable gift annuities, gifts of real estate, and beneficiary designations naming Interlochen as the beneficiary of life insurance policies, retirement accounts, and investment accounts. Planned and structured gifts are often unrestricted, but may also be used to establish endowments for programs and scholarships.

Additionally, Kasdorf works with donors who wish to donate instruments or make other in-kind gifts to Interlochen, and with donors seeking to make memorial contributions in honor of a loved one.

Kasdorf joined Interlochen in 2011, coming from the Development and Advancement department at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Prior to her time at CSU, Kasdorf worked for a private legal practice in rural Michigan where she specialized in trust and estate planning and administration and family law.

With an undergraduate degree in literature and a background in community theatre, Kasdorf’s support of the arts runs deep. She is equally passionate about helping donors create their own lasting legacies to support Interlochen’s young artists and Interlochen Public Radio.
