Brian Brachel

Chief Engineer

Brian Brachel joined IPR in 2023 with 35 years of experience, most recently with MacDonald Garber Broadcasting where he started in 1996 and was responsible for the technical operation and licensing of all their 9 radio stations and 5 translators.

He has a wealth of experience in FM/AM broadcast systems, field measurements, FCC/FAA regulations and compliance, as well as in-studio operations with automation, computer, and network systems.

His enthusiasm for his work and doing it with excellence make Brian a wonderful asset as he keeps Interlochen Public Radio on the airwaves.

Brian has also served as a part time marine deputy and bailiff in Charlevoix for 15 years.
