A pair of long-distance hikers just returned home to Traverse City after attempting to hike the entire length of the North Country Trail. The trail isn’t as well-known as the Appalachian Trail but at 4,600 miles, it’s more than twice as long.
Due to fatigue and physical injuries, Seth Siladke and James Thomas weren’t able to complete the entire trip. But they did make it over 1,500 miles.
James Thomas told IPR about the trip, the decision to come home and the concept of “trail magic."
