The Crispin Campbell Quartet

Cellist Crispin Campbell leads his quartet into the world of soulful jazz, upbeat Gypsy Swing, sparkling Latin sambas, and moody original compositions. Taking the cello out of the classical world is his mission, and this concert features music from his debut recording.

Joined by veteran musicians Steve Stargardt, piano, Jack Dryden, bass and Randy Marsh, drums, Campbell delivers a wide range of expression, from ecstatic Brazilian choros to sensual retro tunes from the film noir legacy of Los Angeles in the '50s.
