The Michigan State Board of Canvassers has scheduled a hearing to discuss a petition to recall Antrim County Clerk Victoria Bishop.

On July 24 at 10:00am, the board will discuss whether the reason for the recall is sufficient to warrant a possible recall vote.

The hearing can be live streamed here.

Antrim County resident Ashley Areeda is bringing forward the petition after the Michigan Bureau of Elections suspended Bishop's access to the state’s Qualified Voter Files.

This after Bishop made unauthorized changes to the voter rolls, including canceling some voters.

If the recall is approved, petitioners will have 60 days to gather 4,000 signatures to place the recall on a county-wide ballot.
