Creator Kabie Stein invites folks from all over northern Michigan to pitch stories that are happy, sad, hilarious or heartfelt.
Each show follows a central theme, like the upcoming show "Twist of Fate."
"In this sense, these are all true first-person stories. I say 'true as you remember it,'" Stein said. "It's a true first-person story about a time in the storytellers' lives where a chance happening led to something that they couldn't have predicted."
Stein started Here:Say Storytelling because she wanted to create a literary series in Traverse City. She says storytelling is her love language.
"I think that we are all just stories. At the core, that is what we are," Stein said. "That is the space where we connect with people. Somebody can tell me all day long their opinions on things, but it's a lot more meaningful to me if I know why that's their opinion, and why is it their opinion? Probably because of what they've experienced. So tell me the story."
Anyone can pitch a story to Here:Say.
