The All Call Music Festival returns to The Little Fleet in Traverse City for a third year.
Michigan-born artist Andrew Dost is in the lineup; he was formerly a member of the band Fun.
Dost will be performing with his new band 'Metal Bubble Trio' mixing Bossa Nova, doo-wop, exotica, and more for a sound that deviates from his success with Fun.
Other than Dost, the All Call Festival features Nashville’s spacey-jazz musician 'Rich Ruth,' the funky rhythms of 'Psymon Spine' from Brooklyn and 'Valebol', a collaboration between drummer Daniel Villarreal and multi-instrumentalist Vivian McConnell on vocals, synthesizer, and flute.
IPR spoke to talent liaison Cindy Milock who helped booked the artists about this year's lineup, the future of the festival, and how northern Michigan is suited for a festival that aims to set itself apart from other music gatherings.
Stream the conversation above and get a tease for some of the acts' music.
