Rolling Taps Begin Memorial Day Observance: Members of the Northport Community Band will play rolling taps beginning at 10AM prior to the Memorial Day Ceremony at the Leelanau Township Cemetery in Northport. Musicians will begin playing TAPS at the "Welcome to Northport" sign on M22, and one by one hand off to musicians stationed throughout the village and marina until it reaches the bugler at the cannon in the cemetery.

This is the 6th annual Rolling Taps, a tradition to honor the fallen, and began as a response to COVID when a Memorial Day gathering was not possible.
